DIY Ambilight with an ESP32 and ScreenGlow

Until recently, I used roughly the same setup with Hyperion. However, after seeing someone mention ScreenGlow, I decided to switch.

With Hyperion, I occasionally experienced latency, connection, and update issues. Nothing too serious, but enough to make me try something else. ScreenGlow also eliminates the need to run a Hyperion server application on my TrueNAS server, as it connects directly to the ESP32 devices.

To get this working, you need an Android device, in my case, an NVIDIA Shield, on which you can install the ScreenGlow app. You’ll also need an ESP32 running WLED. After that, the ScreenGlow app will guide you through the installation process.
