WLED - Control your leds from your browser, phone app, automations, etc

WLED is free, open‑source firmware that lets you control addressable LED strips over Wi‑Fi. I mainly run it on my ESP32 boards and connect everything to Home Assistant, so I can manage my lights from my Home Assistant app or automated via automations.

With WLED, you can create custom colors, animations, and dynamic lighting scenes that react to what you’re doing at home. It’s especially handy if you like tinkering with ESP32s and want flexible, low‑cost lighting that still feels smart and polished.

On my blog I share how I use WLED in a few projects: my DIY TV ambilight that follows the screen, the TV wall with built‑in LED strips that set the mood, and a smart ring light that lights up whenever the doorbell is pressed. If you enjoy home‑automation tinkering, WLED is a great tool for bringing your ideas to life.
